Soothing Vapours is delighted to announce the official production release of the amazing JoyStik dry herb vaporizer! The JoyStik is a stainless steel, battery-free, butane vaporiser that offers exceptional performance at a very reasonable price point.
The Joystik comes from our friends, Vices, located in a Land Down Under. Their purpose in designing this vaporizer was to provide an inexpensive and effective way for cannabis enthusiasts to enjoy the health benefits of the herb without having combustion (and combustion byproducts) involved. This philosophy mirrors the Soothing Vapours mission statement: healthier consumption of herbs through vaping.
The JoyStik is comprised of two main sections: the heating unit and the stem. The heating unit employs a stainless steel cap which houses 3mm ruby balls as a ‘thermal battery’. The bowl sits just below the cap and holds up to .25 grams of your favourite herb. The cap is heated with a butane lighter (or induction heater) until the a ‘click’ is heard indicating that the vape is ready for use. The vapour from the tip travels through the JoyStik’s stem. An internal glass chamber is packed with five glass cooling orbs to cool the vapour before it reaches your lips providing a clean, cool and smooth draw. To keep things cool on your fingers, the JoyStik is encased in a black silicone band creating a “safe-to-touch” zone whilst in use. Airflow through the JoyStik is controlled by adjustable air-holes located just before the ergonomically designed mouthpiece. The airflow can be ‘fluttered’ or even covered with the second, smaller silicone band for use with glass pieces. This silicone band allows an airtight fit in both 10mm and 14mm downstems.
All in all, this is an impressive production by Vices. They are an innovative company with great products and I look forward to future dealings with them.
